Compare A Structure (PDB Format) To A Database Of Structures

Protein coordinates - in the form of PDB like files - can be submitted to the server. The structure is converted to a simplified, TOPS representation and then compared against a non-redundant subset of all known structures. The results are returned as a sorted list; showing the compression value, the ids of the structures, and the common pattern. The compression is 1 for a pair of identical structures and 0 for two structures with no common features.

By default, only the 'top' 10 of the sorted results are returned. Since the comparisons are sorted by a measure of 'goodness' called compression, these top results should be the most interesting. If required, more results or all the results can be returned.

Please click the 'Browse...' button below to open a file dialog, and select a PDB FILE that you want to compare to the database
